Following up on the word of Palm devices appearing in Verizon’s database, we’ve been sent the above screenshot of a Sprint inventory management system, showing not one, not two, but three plot-thickening Palm devices. The first is the 100 we already know – the Palm Pre at $549.99. But after that are two more models we haven’t seen: the 120 and C40. Interestingly, the 120 is quite similar to P121VZW we saw in the Verizon screens (like the P100 for Sprint mirrors the P101VZW for Verizon). Both the 120 and C40 have placeholder prices of $1.

I’ve been very interested in this Femtocell that has recently hit the streets in the last few months. Essentially it is a small mobile phone tower that you plug into your DSL router and it increases your mobile phone signal in the home or wherever you use it.

Mobile Wi-Fi arrives as contract laptops tumble as much as 63% Carphone Warehouse will launch a new category of mobile broadband alongside new laptops in a bid to restore flagging sales. The retailer has an exclusive on a new Dell laptop for £400, which is the first in the world with ultra low voltage. It will combine the laptop with ‘mobile Wi-Fi’ using a new credit card sized device that works via an on-board Sim card and allows several devices to use it for data connectivity. Carphone told Mobile it is in talks with two operators to sell mobile. Wi-Fi, which could hit shelves within the next month. The retailer is ready to give the Novatel Wireless ‘MiFi 2352’ device a big marketing push and expects it to emulate the success of mobile broadband.
The Galaxy has never been given an official release date. The release date of Samsung’s first Android phone, the Galaxy, is still unknown after the device failed O2’s accreditation test. O2 said the device was never given a release date, but it was widely expected by store staff to have been made available from this week. However, staffers informed Mobile that the device was delayed after O2 testing found glitches. An O2 spokesman said: ‘The Samsung Galaxy is currently going through O2’s customer experience test process and we expect to launch it in the next few weeks.’ The Galaxy is Samsung’s first Google Android phone and is exclusive to O2. The device offers 8GB of internal storage, a five-megapixel camera, 3G connectivity with Wi-Fi and HSDPA of up to 7.2Mbps, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
