3D tetris-like game for iPhone now FREE in Lite version

This game is breathtakingly good. Thanks to using various 3D blocks it might be more challenging than classic 2D Tetris (a game invented in Russia) and more intellectually stimulating (after all our own world is 3D not 2D).

To stimulate sales the developer of Prism game is offering now FREE version with time limit (2 minutes of game play) – so that people can “try it out” before purchasing full version (Apple app store has no “trial version” feature, so developers are putting FREE “Lite” versions instead).

So, let’s take a look at this game! Firstly let’s take a look at 3 different ways to control this game, first comes keypads of type A and B:

… then comes “keypad off” mode that we prefer ourselves:

… because to rotate and to drop you just use gestures on the screen and thanks to capacitive display the responsiveness is HUGE. This “keypad mode off” is the fastest mode and after switching to it we were able to score many times more points!

The game ends either when blocks hit the roof:

… or when the time of the trial (2 minutes after some plays) runs out:

Here are some more screenshots:

Overall this is a fantastic game and while it is above typical “$0.99 category” (it costs a bit more) it might be worth purchasing in full version without time limits. We tried it and we will probably buy full version soon – after switching keypad off and with use of gestures one can get very high speeds and high results… so these 2 minutes seem like nothing.

With this game we have realized for the first time how easy it is to play games on capacitive displays – no wonder this must be the reason why games are so popular – the most sold apps in app store.

All in all: get this game – FREE one – and if you like it get full version. We like it a lot!
