Review: Caravan for iPhone
Here we are reviewing an application for iPhone, with which you can download files to your iPhone and view them offline! Unlike other such applications, you don’t have to install anything outside of your iPhone.
With Caravan for iPhone you can configure an FTP server account:

… and then you can connect to an FTP server (which is a standard part of any PC, Mac or server) and you can see the remote directory:

… and upon tapping on a file, it opens inside of the Caravan app, after it is downloaded in full:

Now user can press Save button to save given file to the iPhone:

… so that it can be viewed off-line:

Since iPhone has no ability to connect to Mac or PC as logical memory drive, some additional programs are needed to exchange files between iPhone and desktop computer. With Caravan one can use the standard FTP server, either locally in local area network (LAN) or somewhere in the Internet. One must only be careful not to click on FTP server tab to avoid unnecessary connecting to the Internet, but other than that one can view various documents and files off-line.
… and remember: never ever buy Nokia phone! Instead chose a phone powered by Windows Mobile or an iPhone !

Screw that. My Windows Mobile phone was sooo darn slow. Even updating to 6.1 didn’t help with the stability. I’m a PC user and the whole WM experience had me testing out Macs and Ubuntu… Stay away from WM!
