3 Mobile broadband has arrived to review
I have just collected my new three pay as you go mobile broadband USB Modem. I will be testing this out thoroughly over the next few days and letting you know my findings with coverage and download speeds. So far I cannot even get a connection where I live but to be honest, I do live out in a very rural location and the purpose of the modem is for when I am visiting clients whom are all based in the city so its not an issue so far.
These are the specs on the modem I have:-
Broadband is now mobile and stylish. The ZTE USB modem not only gives you broadband Internet access speeds on the move, it makes a statement.
You get freedom from wires and hotspots, and access to the Internet at breakneck speeds while looking good. Just plug in your slim and sexy dongle and you’ll be surfing the web in just five minutes. And when you?re in a Turbo Network area you’ll get lightening web access speeds of up to 2.8MBps. It’s as fast as a fixed line, but you can use it wherever and whenever you want to.
The super lightweight ZTE USB modem needs a few things to run smoothly. Your computer or laptop needs a minimum of 50MB hard disk space, 1 free USB port, a Windows 2000, XP, Vista or and Mac OSX operating system. You don?t have to worry about being fiddling with settings because the USB auto-installs ? it?s quick and easy.
The great user-friendly Modem Manager interface not only manages your connection, it displays all the messages you receive on your mobile broadband number. You can even reply to your text messages while logged in. Plus you?ll get the very best Internet speeds with 3’s Reception Diversity, which improves the coverage in buildings and makes sure you stay on our Turbo Network as long as you possibly can.
Well it all sounds good but lets wait and see, I will also be sharing these findings with Edward from MsMobiles who also picked one of these up whilst on his travels in England last week, so it will be interesting to see how our views compare.

Cool! Good luck on that and please let us know the result. have a nice day!
I am really disapointed with 3 mobile broadband. The speed advertised is often a dream . Many times it takes several minutes to load a page. I live i central London and the network signal should be good.
Some weeks ago it took me 45 min to check in on line for a flight…..
Really far from expectations. I wouldn’t buy it again.
Thanks for leaving a comment, thats bad in central London I would have expected much better coverage there, I managed to get connected for the second part of the review but the speed tests were low compared to what was advertised. Its good to hear your experiences as I have heard that 3’s coverage is not the best. I am hoping to get a vodafone usb modem to test out soon so keep an eye out for that and thanks for visiting the site
I bought the 3 mobile broadband package and am very dissapointed. The speed is similar to 56k dial up.
Best I have seen is a burst of 250 kbs
i think the problem has now been fixed with the connection but i forgot my password and when i asked them to send it to me they sent it via text to the sim card but when i access it , its all 0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000?
any ideas
cheers stan
